The Idea Of Green Printing NYC

The Popularity of Green Printing NYC is growing and this has lead to there being at least two large companies now offering this environmental service in the city. Previously thought to be uneconomical, modern techniques have allowed these industries to offer products that are comparable in price and quality to older style printing methods. Now there are two major print companies offering quality products using environmentally friendly methods.

New machinery has made environmentally friendly techniques favourable to the print industry by reducing the power and ink required. Meanwhile other improved technology and presses has allowed the production of higher quality recycled papers. This has increased the choice of papers available on the market.

The new oil based inks are biodegradable and therefore leave no toxic chemicals in the environment as the older inks do. While UV and dry inks are also being used. Using recycled paper means less paper going into our landfills and less demand to fell trees. Machines that use less energy not only reduce costs they also reduce the carbon emissions.

Companies everywhere are striving to reduce their carbon emissions in ways like this. For a city as large as New York it may seem too small an amount of reduction from one company to make a difference, but all the other companies achieving a drop in emissions soon makes it a measurable difference. Every drop of carbon emission less is important to the Global Warming problem.

Another thing the printers have started to do is make use of recycled ink cartridges. At present our landfills are clogged with plastic ink cartridges seeping toxins into the environment and refusing to decompose. Recycled cartridges are refilled after cleaning thus not ending up on our landfill sites.

The pressure on our environment is being reduced in these ways which must be positive. With companies using the more efficient methods to cut costs green printing is here to stay. The past belief that environmental products would be expensive and inferior in quality, has been proven to not be true.

This reduction on the impact on the environment is very good for our planet Earth. Less volume going into our landfill means less waste that sits around refusing to degrade. These methods are here to stay and the availability of green printing in NYC proves it is a sustainable and profitable practice.
