Best on-demand printing service for art photos?

Print On Demand

Hi!
I’m a photographer and want to sell my artwork online. I know many websites for on-demand photo printing, but I’m afraid they offer quite average quality prints (well, let’s say roughly similar to consumer printing services by Fuji or Kodak).

What’s you opinion on lulu.com photo printing+frames? What about imagekind.com (they seem to use Epson printers)?

Any high-end service you recommend, or should I just buy some Epson Stylus Pro 3800 or 4880 and do the job by myself?

Thanks
Larry

Buy the Epson and take control of your own images. I’ve been so disappointed in the work of some processors and I can’t blame them for the calibrations being different than my own.

The problem is that you have to provide a test sample for them to know what you want… may as well do your own printing if you have to do that.

They don’t match your colormatch so you are disappointed.

Why bother with them if you can afford your own printer (and Epson IS the way to go).
