I have a HP desktop and it is running windows xp. It freezing up on a constant basis. This prevents me from doing anything on the computer. I can surf the web for a short period of time. There is a hp laser printer connected to the computer but the moment I try to print a page, it freezes. I have Verizon security suite and have ran several times but nothing negative appears. I have also used the operating system scan and it also comes up negative. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to get the system working again with the printer?cw
check your computer can handle windows xp?
I would run disk deftragmenter. then disk cleanup (when you get to disk cleanup click the "more options tab" and at the bottom you will see the option to delete all but your most recent restore point) this will free up a lot of space and make your computer run faster. When done with all of the above i suggest switching your virus protection to avg free 8.5 its what i use and it catches everything. for your computer to freeze you would have to have a virus, so download and install that program then let it scan your whole computer. this can and will fix your issue if you follow my instructions. if you have any other questions feel free to email me at mattanzaldi@yahoo.com. hope this help.
