How can I best proceed with my finished novel?

Print On Demand

I have written a Southern novel, set in the 1950s, about a Mom, Dad & their two sons and five daughters, told through the eyes of the second oldest, an eleven year old girl. I have had it printed locally (on demand). What steps can I take to get it ‘noticed?’ I’ve sold a couple hundred on line, primarily via referrals. I’m told it is a wonderful, heart-warming book, but I don’t know how to proceed. I’ve very limited resources. Any suggestions? Thanks!

look up some literary agents that deal with your genre. Then send them a query letter. Research how to write a good query letter first, thats your foot in the door. Ususally they want the first 5 pages of the manuscript. Make sure its edited to the 9’s. Good luck!!

I’d send it to an agent, along with a cover letter, and if they accept, they can send it to a publisher. If they don’t, you can find another agent.
