Print Journalism... not so much.  Print media is slowly but steadily being replaced by web answers and many papers are really under pressure.  

If you really like print journalism, you might consider trade magazines or similar local or national business publications.  Thsoe tend to continue to have good circulations versus local or national news papers.

You can also check the Canadian Department of Labor statics or the US Department of Labor statistics for job category information.  The US site is http://www.dol.gov
