Our government can change our laws but you'd have to change the laws of 26 other countries too! The Tory press and the likes of UKIP won't tell you so but as it stands at the moment the Liberal Democrats, of all people, would give you a refendum on either In or Out of the EU. The only way I could see the UK getting a vote now is if the people got together to bring charges of Treason against their unelected leader Gordon Brown for taking it upon himself to sign the Lisbon Treaty without giving them a referendum.
