Hey Y!A,
I’m having an issue with printing on a computer running Windows ME. I know, I know, it’s the Microsoft’s Error version, but it’s what I got…
Anyway, I have an HP Photosmart 2610 that i’m attempting to install over a network. The driver installer detects the printer just fine and tells me that it installs successfully, but it doesn’t show up in the printer folder. additionally, when I try to print, I get the ‘enlightening’ error message of:
"the spoolss.dll is linked to missing export NTDLL.dll:NtSetInformationThread"
I then proceeded to replace the spool32.dll, spoolss.dll, and ntdll.dll files from the windowsME disk. I then proceeded to do do a regsvr32 on each of them, but I stil have this problem.
short of a reformat or upgrade, does anyone have an idea as to how to get this working again?
Joey
Try installing the printer locally
